Finally, after more than a decade of serving us quality movies, Marvel is going to take a darker path for its main-universe films with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Director Scott Derrickson shared that the new Doctor Strange film will be a horror movie!

Derrickson is no stranger (hehe) to the horror genre having helmed big horror titles such as The Exorcism of Emily Rose and Sinister 1 and 2. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige didn’t disclose any further details. However, they did reveal that Scarlet Witch Wanda Maximoff is going to be joining Doctor Stephen Strange in this film. Both characters have been shown to harness magical powers that can’t be explained by science in the past, so this team-up is going to be interesting to see on the big screen!
Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen are reprising their roles as Stephen Strange and Wanda Maximoff respectively. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to come out May 2021.
