Get ready for a dance off unlike any other as Grammy award-winning hip hop group Macklemore and Ryan Lewis return to the Philippines for their ‘This Unruly Mess I’ve Made’ world tour. The duo will be in Manila for a one night only performance at the Palace Pool Club on September 22.
Following the success of their 2012 debut album The Heist which includes Can’t Hold Us , Same Love and anti-consumerism anthem Thrift Shop, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are back with their sophomore record ‘This Unruly Mess I’ve Made’ which was self-released on February 26. The album highlights the chart-topping track Downtown featuring rock frontman Eric Nally with pioneer MCs Melle Mel, Kool Moe Dee and Grandmaster Caz, two of which belonged to influential Bronx group Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five.
Their most recent release titled Dance Off, the second single off ‘This Unruly Mess I’ve Made,’ features actor Idris Elba and rapper Anderson .Paak. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis recently performed both songs as musical guests on Jimmy Kimmel Live . ‘This Unruly Mess I’ve Made’ debuted at number one on the US R&B/Hip Hop albums and also features collaborations with Ed Sheeran ( Growing Up ), Leon Bridges ( Kevin ) and Chance the Rapper ( Need to Know ).
