Help Indigent Payatas School Kids Fulfill Their Dream “Audio Visual Room” Project
Every Chirstmas, it has been WhenInManila.com’s tradition to support the gift giving activity of the indigent students of Lupang Pangako Elementary School, in Payatas. As we all know, it is right here in Payatas where most of the poorest of poor families live.
Last Christmas, Me, Frank and fellow Wimster Kristel Silang, really made time to visit the kids during their annual gift giving activity organized by volunteers and teachers led by Ma’am Shirley Alambra of Lupang Pangako Elementary School. Aside from being their media partner, we also brought bags full of treats which we gave away for the kids.
great to meet the kids!
Seems like Frank found a new bff? hihihi
Last May, I received a letter from Ma’am Shirley asking for our help in fulfilling their project for the kids this year, to put up an audio-visual room for the kids. During our occasional chats, she mentioned they will be converting one of the rooms into an audio-visual room and they are in need of a projector so they can use it for their visual aids. I think of course, aside from a projector, they will also be needing a decent sound system to give the kids a chance to experience quality audio-visual learning.

Here’s a copy of the letter she sent last May:
With this, I would like to personally reach out to you and ask for aid in the fulfillment of this project. If you know any generous souls or companies who may be interested in helping these kids, I hope you can hook us up with them. I remember they are also looking for people and companies who are willing to sponsor an indigent child to school for as low as 400/month.
