Luke Perry of ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ and ‘Riverdale’ Dies at 52

I am still in shock as I type this. When I was a little girl, ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ was a big thing in my household. Before shows like ‘Gossip Girl’ and ‘Riverdale’, my sisters and I would swoon over the likes of Luke Perry, Jason Priestley, and Brian Austin Green in ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’.

Years later, Luke Perry made a comeback in the series adaptation of the Archie comics, ‘Riverdale’, as Archie Andrews’ dad, Fred Andrews. Today, after suffering a massive stroke last Wednesday, and at the tender age of 52, Luke Perry has passed away.

Luke played the role of the brooding Dylan McKay in ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’. Luke’s hospitalization happened on the same day that Fox announced the show’s revival featuring the original cast, though Luke was not part of the announcement.

Luke will also appear in ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ as Wayne Maunder. Rest in peace, Luke.
