LOOK: LSGH Converts Campus Into Shelter for Health Workers

The De La Salle Brothers and staff of La Salle Green Hills launched their Safe Shelter Project last April 3. They welcomed into their campus health workers from the Medical City who will be temporarily housed for the duration of the enhanced community quarantine.

They shared photos of the Lasallian Brothers and members of the LSGH community greeting the health workers as they arrived. The health workers were provided with meals and snacks on their welcome, as well.

Some photos also depict the converted spaces of the campus, displaying classrooms that were turned into temporary sleeping areas for the health workers.

“Continuing to do all our actions for the love of God, LSGH opens its doors for the health workers of The Medical City today,” LSGH said in another post. “Welcome, dear guests! We hope you find in our school, a refuge, a safe shelter.”

De La Salle University and De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde carried out similar efforts in the past few weeks. The two schools opened their doors to the homeless of Manila, converting their gyms into temporary shelters.
