LRT1 is lifting their ban on liquids

An earlier ban an all liquids had, until very recently, been implemented by train management on Light Rail Transit Lines 1 and 2, as well as the Metro Rail Transit. This ban was previously in place due to the bombing of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Jolo, Sulu in late January. The ban had already been lifted for the LRT2 and MRT last February.

The LRT1 operator announced last April 2 that their own ban would be lifted as well. Effective April 2, 2019 the ban on bottled water and drinks inside the train station would no longer be implemented. LRT1 runs North-South from Baclaran to Monumento and East-Westfrom Monumento to North Avenue.

They posted the announcement on their Facebook page with the caption:

Sa lahat po ng aming mga minamahal na pasahero, epektibo mula ngayong ikalawa ng Abril 2019, lifted na ang pagbabawal sa anumang inumin o likido sa loob ng #LRT1.

[To all our beloved passengers, effective this April 2, 2019, the ban on drinks and liquids inside the LRT1 will be lifted.]
