Last February, we wrote about how excited Cavite was for the LRT-1 extension. Well, it looks like the extension project has finally begun. The ceremony for the project happened in Paranaque and the plans are for the railway system to be underway by 2021.
Word is that after the project is complete, those living in Cavite will only take 25 minutes to get from Bacoor to Makati – that’s quite a feat, seeing as it can take up to 2 hours (and even 4 hours on horrible traffic days) to get to Makati from Cavite by car.
This won’t just help Cavitenos, either, seeing as several stations will also be set up along the way, including stations at Aseana, Asiaworld, MIA, Ninoy Aquino, Sucat, and Las Piñas. 2021 is still a way away, but we can’t wait for this project to be completed. What about you?
