LOOK: Low-Cost Pet-Boarding-for-a-Cause Opens in Ortigas Center

This is it! A low-cost pet boarding has opened in Ortigas Center and pet parents can breathe a sigh of relief.

Pet parents often go crazy wondering where to leave their beloved furbabies if they need to go on trips, especially for emergencies and vacations. Given the limited pet boarding options in the Metro, they often have to resort to begging friends or relatives to take in their pets. After all, we cannot just leave our pets to just anyone.

Knowing this, the animal welfare organization CARA Welfare Philippines has launched a modernized pet boarding facility at its Mandaluyong clinic.

CARA is a respected and trusted name in animal welfare since 2000. The group was responsible for taking in over 260 rescued pit bulls in 2012. It established a sanctuary for the poor dogs to rehabilitate and prepare them for adoption,

To help sustain its operations, which is run completely by volunteers and funded by donations, the group decided to open pet boarding services to the public. Soon, it will also offer pet grooming.

100% of the proceeds will support the advocacy.

For now, CARA accepts only dogs for its pet boarding. You need to reserve in advance via email or phone and comply with its rules. Rates start at 200 pesos per dog per night.

Here are its pet boarding rates, policies, and requirements.
