Los BaƱos, Laguna Records First COVID-19 Case and Death

The town of Los BaƱos, Laguna just recorded its first confirmed case for novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

On Wednesday, Los BaƱos Mayor Caesar Perez announced on the municipal government’s official Facebook page that it was a 69-year-old man, who passed away last week while awaiting results, who tested positive for the virus.

The mayor said that the patient went around churches in Metro Manila, particularly in Quiapo and Binondo. The family is now placed under quarantine and their residence has already been disinfected.

Currently, the Philippines has a total of 636 confirmed cases for COVID-19, with 38 fatalities and 26 recoveries.
