I’ve been waiting for Shake Shack to open in Manila ever since I first saw the store’s ‘Coming Soon’ murals in BGC. Well, today is the day that they finally opened to the public – and it seems I’m not the only one excited. In fact, a whole bunch of people lined up for it today.
Marcus Chu shared some photos of the line with us and it was crazy! Apparently, the line was meant to start at 6AM for their 11AM opening and while I sat at home reading that on social media, I decided to just wait for the hype to die down before I go and get my fill of their burgers.
It seems that a lot of people weren’t able to wait that long, though, as one woman actually lined up as early as 10:30PM the night before! This is not a joke. Shake Shack PH posted an Instagram story of their first guest, @sanji5577, who was there since 10:30PM last night – all for the love of burgers we know:
The first 100 guests in line were given some cool Shack swag to celebrate Shake Shack PH’s opening day today. There were activities from 9AM onwards, as well, so people could have some fun before the Shack actually opened.
Aside from their usual fare, Shake Shack PH also has menu items that are exclusive to the Philippines, including an Ube Milkshake that, according to one of our writers, “is the absolute bomb”. Read her full review of Shake Shack PH here.
