Hey, Directioners! Here’s some news: Liam Payne is now engaged to his girlfriend, Maya Henry.
Rumors began when Henry was seen wearing what looked like an engagement ring. It was then confirmed on Us Weekly that the two are, indeed, engaged.
The two were first seen together in 2018, but it was only last year that they announced their relationship. In September 2019, Payne told KISS FM UK’s KISS Breakfast, “I am very lucky. She is really great.” He then posted a photo of the two of them on Instagram, thanking her “for always keeping the biggest smile on my face through all the stress and making me realise how perfect my life really is.”
Henry is a model who has walked for brands like Dolce and Gabbana. She has also appeared in music videos, including DNCE and Joe Jonas’ “Kissing Strangers” and Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road.”
She is the daughter of a successful lawyer in Texas and is an heiress who is set to inherit a multi-million dollar fortune. Just how rich are they? Henry’s Quinceañera (a celebration of a girl’s 15th birthday) cost more than $4 million (roughly P193.4 million) and featured live performances from Nick Jonas and Pitbull.
Henry enjoys sharing her blessings, as she started Maya’s Corner when she was a child. The organization is “committed to improving the lives of young people by providing for causes including education, hunger, and poverty.”
