Here’s What We Know About Lady Gaga’s Makeup Line “Haus Laboratories” So Far

When it was announced that Lady Gaga was launching her own makeup line, I got confused. I assumed that, after all these years, the artist would have ventured into the beauty industry already since she’s known for her unique looks. However, that’s not the case. Gaga has been working towards launching her very own makeup line called Haus Laboratories.

According to an exclusive interview with Business of Fashion, Gaga shared that her collection will include make-up kits that combine lip gloss, lip liner, and all-over color. “Color is completely transformative,” Lady Gaga said. “It’s powerful, it’s beautiful, and it’s how I found my voice with makeup.”

Earlier in July, Haus Laboratories posted what people assumed were promotional photos of Gaga wearing the makeup. The page has since deleted the posts and uploaded official promo photos instead.

Lady Gaga followed up and posted her own update about Haus Laboratories on her official Instagram account, sharing that the power of makeup helped her make her dreams come true. The artist closed off her post by saying, “I’ve come to accept that I discovered my beauty by having the ability to invent myself and transform. They said I was just weird, but really, I was just Born This Way.”

When I was young, I never felt beautiful. And as I struggled to find a sense of both inner and outer beauty, I discovered the power of makeup. I remember watching my mother put her makeup on every morning, basking in the glow of her power to put on her bravest face as the hard working woman she was. I then began to experiment with makeup as a way to make my dreams of being as strong as my mother become true. It was then that I invented Lady Gaga. I found the superhero within me by looking in the mirror and seeing who I wanted to be. Sometimes beauty doesn’t come naturally from within.
