For the first time since 1959, La Salle Greenhills (LSGH) is admitting female students this year, bringing an end to its status as a private Catholic school exclusive for boys.

On Tuesday, May 12, the LSGH administration announced that it will go coeducational for its Senior High School starting SY 2020-2021 in its effort to “transition into an integrated school.”

The first 20 female student applicants will be granted tuition subsidy.

Other than this, LSGH also provided guidelines for its home-based online learning program which will then shift to “blended” learning, which integrates face-to-face learning in the classroom, in the second trimester.

In 2016, Ateneo De Manila High School similarly opened its doors to Senior High female students. Prior to that, it was also a private Catholic school exclusive for boys.
