Of course, my trusty photog Hannah and I couldn’t pass up a great deal from The Bistro Group, so we trekked to Krazy Garlik at Greenbelt to check it out for ourselves.

We also tried out Krazy Garlik’s latest lunch selection: “Cuisines from Around the Klove”, an absolutely kooky set of lunch dishes all with created with a hearty dose of Krazy Garlik’s signature vegetable, garlic! Krazy Garlik goes global on their lunch items, featuring dishes from all corners of the earth which are good for sharing and easy on the pocket! We got to try their Osso Bucco (from Spain): Braised Beef Shank on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes, served with an emulsion of country flavors and seasonal vegetables. I especially liked how tender the meat was, while Hannah loved the mashed potatoes with generous helping of crunchy garlic bits.

We also tried the creamy and flavorful Squid Fetuccine (from Italy): pasta topped with garlic white sauce and a delicate mix of chorizo and calamari.

And of course no self-respecting meal at Krazy Garlik would be complete without having their outrageous garlic-infused desserts! Hannah and I tried two of Krazy Garlik’s newest dessert offerings. First up was Krazy Garlik’s Baked Alaska: a stunning combination of hot meringue encasing a cold chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream. Perfect for those craving for a decent sugar fix! The next dessert dish we had was something completely out of this world!

Who would’ve thought that savory garlic would actually work on a sweet dessert? I don’t know how, but Krazy Garlik managed to put a sweet spin on garlic with their Crepe Dynamite: Sliced ripe mango, peach and banana wrapped in Krazy Garlik’s homemade crepe, layered with Nutella and topped with caramel garlic and roasted pecan, and served with mango ice cream. The caramel garlic topping was definitely unexpected. Imagine garlic’s punchy flavor coated in sugary caramel, you couldn’t get any crazier than that!
