LOOK: Japanese Anime Hit ‘Kimi No Na Wa’ Might Air Soon in Philippine Cinemas

Pioneer Films announced that the Japanese anime film “Kimi No Na Wa”  (Your Name) will soon hit the big screens in the Philippines.

From a post via Viewers Choice Philippines on Facebook, the movie might be shown on December 14. However, a recent update on the post said that this is still pending due to Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) schedules.

From the Facebook post:

***IMPORTANT UPDATE*** Due to pending issues with the Metro Manila Film Festival that affected movie booking schedules, the December 14 release date of the movie YOUR NAME (Kimi no Na wa) is still pending. Keep on calling your favorite cinemas to convince them to book the movie the soonest! We will keep you posted for any developments. Thank you for your understanding.

“Kimi No Na Wa” is a story of two high school students, Mitsuha Miyamizu from the countryside and Taki Tachibana from Tokyo, whose dreams and lives get tangled as a comet approaches the Earth.

Apparently, “It will make you cry, it will make you laugh, it will transform you into a magical world exploring true love and great friendship.”

We’re also hoping a theater date be released soon.

For now, we just have to wait.
