Yesterday, actress Kim Chiu revealed that her grandmother passed away.
On Instagram, the actress wrote a touching tribute to her ama. It was accompanied by a series of photos and the song “Yue Liang Dai Biao Wo De Xin.” According to Chiu, “I know that is one of your favorite songs and you always smile whenever I perform a Chinese song.”
She said, “She slept peacefully, and little did she know she would wake up in heaven.”
Chiu added, “Rest well in heaven, ama! You don’t have to wait anymore sa sunrise ug sunset. I guess in heaven sun is always shining. I still remember pag kinakamusta kita you always say na “naghulat sa pagsaka sa adlaw ug nagpaabot na mu gabii. Para ugma napud.” You always taught us that tomorrow is another day. Thank you, ama for taking care of us, unconditionally.”
She ended her post by saying, “Felt hard to say goodbye. Felt even harder that this happened in this kind of situation. We were not able to fly there to whisper our last goodbye.”
