When in Manila, New Year is one of the most celebrated occasions of the year. Apart from watching the fireworks and spending time with loved ones, many people also take time to set New Year’s resolutions.

 

There are numerous strategies to help one become consistent in his goals. One useful tip I heard is to intentionally find a way to remind yourself about your goals. Some write their goals in their notebooks. Some use inspiring wallpaper for their phones, laptops, and tablets that are relevant to their goals. Others send scheduled emails to themselves–just to remind them about their commitments months after January 1. 

But if you’re into accessorizing your outfits and upping your OOTDs, you could even opt to wear something that reminds you about these goals. Maybe I’m a bit cheesy that way, but all the accessories I wear always have something sentimental attached to them! The owner of Sweet Charms Manila is 19-year old Jamille Chua, a college student and a fashionista herself! We collaborated on a design challenge: I gathered common New Year’s resolutions and asked her to design charms based on those resolutions.

3) “This year, I want to be intentional in setting aside time and money to travel to three new places I’ve never been to before!”

4) “I want to focus on my studies, so I could graduate with flying colors and learn as much as I can about my chosen profession.”

 5.) “I want to pursue my passion for music.”
