After officially wrapping up the first season this week, Casey Cott is promoted to a season regular come second season in TV series ‘Riverdale’, as confirmed by TVLine.com. This means, Cott, who plays Kevin Keller, will pretty much have the same amount of screentime as the regulars like our fab four – Archie (played by KJ Apa), Veronica (played by Camila Mendes), Betty (played by Lili Reinhart) and Jughead (Cole Sprouse).

‘Kevin’ is an openly gay character in the Netflix original series adaptation of the comics, who is Betty and Veronica’s BFF as well as the son of the Riverdale Sheriff. He is also in a relationship with Joaquin, an ally of FP Jones in the gang Southside Serpents. We see a different side of him in episode 12 – if you haven’t watched it, you must!

As of press time, no announcement has been made regarding ‘Riverdale’s second season premiere.
