On September 17, 2013 at the Makati Shangri-la, KakaoTalk held their KakaoTalk Live event that unveiled Alden Richards and Louise delos Reyes, the country’s hit love team, as new KakaoTalk ambassadors! They will be joining Sarah Geronimo and Korean superstars, BIGBANG, as ambassadors for KakaoTalk Philippines. “We are extremely excited to welcome Alden and Louise to the KakaoTalk family,” says Tim Jang, director of Kakao Philippines. “Alden and Louise are the perfect addition as they represent and embody our brand character: young, cool and fun. The public will be amazed on the next phase of our campaign where Alden and Louise are part of.”
BIGBANG’s G-Dragon had a special message for us KakaoTalk users here in the Philippines since T.O.P who was supposed to arrive that night, wasn’t able to come due to schedule conflicts, he gave us a message to have fun and enjoy using KakaoTalk just as they do everyday.

We were lucky to have been shown the latest KakaoTalk TV ad featuring Alden and Louise. It was such a comical commercial that featured the love team interacting with KakaoTalk characters, pretty much reflects how fun KakaoTalk is to use! The love-team, along with Sarah Geronimo also answered questions from the press and media regarding KakaoTalk and what they love about the app. They were very honest in saying that they are KakaoTalk ambassadors mainly because they use the app and that they wouldn’t be there if they weren’t actually using and loving it. Sarah and Louise pointed out how fun it is to have a group chat with their friends which they often do. This is one thing I have always wanted and liked about some celebrities, their honesty and integrity in products or brands that they love and become ambassadors of! They really are meant to be here for KakaoTalk!
After the live unveiling, there was a fans night party where lucky KakaoTalk fans were invited and treated with amazing giveaways such as a brand spanking new Samsung Galaxy S4, an iPhone 5, and a special number by Sarah Geronimo. It was definitely one night of fun, excitement, and amazing news for KakaoTalk fans and users!
Oh and 50 people from the fans night were also able to take home uber cute and charismatic KakaoTalk character dolls! Neat!
