Selena Gomez pretty much dropped the bomb on ex Justin Bieber in her new song “Lose You to Love Me” wherein she called him out for moving on from her so quickly.
The second verse of the song references the Jelena couple’s on-and-off relationship that officially ended in early 2018. Soon after, Justin went public with his new romance with Hailey Baldwin and eventually married her in two separate ceremonies.
“I gave my all and they all know it / Then you tore me down and now it’s showing / In two months, you replaced us / Like it was easy / Made me think I deserved it / In the thick of healing,” Selena sings in the song.
Many fans of Selena started calling out Justin and Hailey on social media after the release of the song which prompted Hailey to restrict the comments section of her Instagram account. It also didn’t help that Hailey allegedly “coincidentally” posted a screenshot of the song she was currently listening to on Instagram stories title “I’ll Kill You” by Summer Walker. Many thought it was directed to Selena, which Hailey denied.

Selena, however, seemingly alluded to Hailey’s alleged “shade” on her Instagram Live on Wednesday, October 23. “I am so grateful for the response of the song. However, I will never stand for women tearing other women down,” she said. “So please be kind to everyone.”

Hailey and Justin have not publicly reacted to Selena’s new song, but an insider source told E! News that they both respect Selena’s creative process as a music artist.
“Of course Justin and Hailey have heard Selena’s new song and they are both trying to not give any reaction to her lyrics referencing Justin,” the source said. “It isn’t ideal for Hailey but she understands the creative process of writing music and that Justin had a past.”
“Justin has completely moved on from that chapter of his life and understands that Selena is allowed to reflect on the past in her own way,” the source added. “Justin and Hailey both want Selena to be happy and in a good place and aren’t phased by it.”
