On Saturday, hundreds of students from the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) flocked to the campus in order to access a new enlistment system called Student Academic Information System (SAIS).
According to a tweet from the UPLB Perspective, the official student publication of UPLB:

This new system is an initiative of UP President Alfredo Pascual. It is claimed to make online subject enlistment easier and to easily track student records.
This new system has also been implement in UP Baguio and UP Manila. However, this is the first time it was implemented in UPLB. Moreover, it will also be implemented in other UP campuses including UP Diliman.
A big problem currently experienced by students who are trying to enlist their subjects is the website being inaccessible since launch. Furthermore, students crowded in the campus premises after knowing that the SAIS website can be accessed faster via the campus Wi-Fi connection.
UPLB students took on social media their disappointment regarding the website’s inefficiency. #JunkSAIS was born due to this.
