Jordan Brand Launches Air Jordan XX9, The Lightest Air Jordan
The new Nike Air Jordan XX9 comes in two colorways: in elephant print and knit print
Ballers will be happy this month! The Jordan Brand formally launched the new Air Jordan, the 29th edition of the famous line of shoes. The new edition, stylized as the XX9, has a black performance-woven upper made from a single piece of lightweight material. What makes the XX9 stand out is its newly-improved Flight Plate and the performance-woven upper, the first for any shoe in the market. The XX9 will come in two colorways, but will feature the same oversized orange Jumpman logo that has become the shoe’s trademark look.
It is now known as the lightest Jordan ever made. The glossy black midsole, elephant and knit print, and semi-translucent sole can make you fly on and off the court.

According to the Nike website, “Finding inspiration in Italy, the home of some of the world’s greatest craftsmen, the Jordan design team created an upper that provides structure, support, interior comfort and exterior abrasion resistance. Using state-of-the-art weaving machines, the team learned they could provide all four major elements of the shoe in a single layer of material.”
Ballers around the world are excited, and for good reason. Even if the first Jordans were released in 1985 and Michael Jordan has retired in 2003, Jordans are still highly coveted items. Last year, rapper Kanye West claimed that he’s the only reason why Air Jordans still sell, but we think it’s still popular because of its excellent quality, the Zoom Air (by making the cushioning really thin, the foot is closer to the ground and increasing stability), and its stylish designs. And of course, one of the most appealing things about the Air Jordan is Michael Jordan’s name, who NBA has called the greatest basketball player of all time. Kanye, Imma let you finish, but Jordan is the best basketball player of all time. Of all time.
