Earlier this month, the Supreme Court held that there was no legal obstacle to a Marcos burial in the Libingan ng mga Bayani. This was following plans by President Duterte to finally lay to rest the former president in the LNMB pursuant to his campaign promise. Earlier last week, a surprise announcement of the commencement of the Marcos LNMB burial sparked student protests all around the metro.

Following such protests, online trolls took to attack young women protesters.
Amidst the lewd comments and online vitriol, there were still those who fought hard and took pains to explain online why such comments were not okay, whatever side you’ve chosen to take in the issue.
UP Law professor Atty. John Molo felt that this wasn’t enough. He took a step further by offering free legal service to those harassed by these online trolls.

I am DONE with just shaming and correcting acts of blatant misogyny perpetrated online. If anyone knows any of the female students who are being sexually harassed by lewd pro-Marcos trolls, please ask them if they wish to pursue legal action. We will offer our services for Free, along with other lawyers I have talked to. To my fellow lawyers, law students and others who have expressed their disgust at this incident, time to put words into action. We owe it to our mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters to ensure that the internet is no safe haven for misogyny. PM me or Tina Balajadia Joshua Santiago Leo Laurente or Profs Nicky Ty and Aldrich Fitz Uy Dy if you want to join in. Feel free to share.
This movement grew and now, there are “1. (4) full-service Law Firms; 2. Fourteen (14) individual lawyers; 3. Two (2) IT organizations and several IT practitioners ; 4. Three (3) law student organizations; and 5. Almost a hundred law students” volunteering to help. This number is still growing.

From what we have seen, online sexual harassers, bullies and, perverts better be afraid.
This is not just 1 lawyer or 1 victim filing just 1 case.
As of today our volunteer complement has: 1. Four (4) full-service Law Firms; 2. Fourteen (14) individual lawyers; 3. Two (2) IT organizations and several IT practitioners ; 4. Three (3) law student organizations; and 5. Almost a hundred law students. More volunteers are coming in.
With volunteers from as far as Agusan, Bacolod and Laoag, we have the means, machinery and motivation to hunt down lewd trolls – Wherever they are.
So if you are thinking of sexually harassing a student, better think twice. Because we will be coming for you and we Will Find You.
