An event called Jansport Bonfire Sessions organized by Jansport was held last February 20 at SM MOA by the Bay. Together with the Business Management Society of De La Salle University, their partner student organization, college students & bloggers mingled and experienced live music under the the night sky.
‘Twas a perfect night to gather around the fire. The night was chilly!
Lights were strewn across trees all around the venue.
Hooray for instagram addicts. A photobooth section was setup to that prints instagram pictures for free.
This Jansport event is meant to bring the brand to life through authentic and memorable live music experience set in an outside environment.
This was the first ever bonfire session held in the Philippines. Other cities such as Austin, Montreal and San Francisco has been doing this for years. Lucky us, we’ve been part of the 2015 sessions!
*Jansport also brought us Jansport Supersized Summer for kids returning to back to school.
Perfect night to roast marshmallows. Yum!
Nice way to meet friends. Just try and toss the circle glow sticks into the bottles.
Live outside.
Jansport Philippines and BMS provided refreshments and snacks for the event. There’s iced tea and booze came at around 10pm (Yaasss!)

And there were S’mores!
Bands performed all through the night, with serenades meant for a night of hanging out and appreciating good music. Every band was unique, just like Jansport bags. Every color, every voice and every music showed off every band’s personality.
They gave away bags for those who can catch it first!
The Music and The Bands
It started out with the The Taft Beatbox Movement which gave energy to the crowd. They taught the audience kinds of beat boxing and gave samples of each one of them. Haha! Tough thing to do guys. Kudos. I’ve learned a thing or two.
The Benjamins and Bea Lorenzo gave us pretty impressive vocals and a show of skills in musical instruments.
Patty Lim let us hear her out and her sweet voice with some of her originals and covers (My favorite is her Ho Hey rendition.)
Then there was The Cohens who sang their original “She doesn’t know it yet.”
The Jensen and the Flips gave us some groove which prompted some of the audience to dance.
The Ransom Collective capped off the night. The six-piece indie folk band sang their original song compositions. Can’t help but feel youthful with their rhytym and voices.
And good news! This is not the last of the sessions. More student organizations and universities will be able to experience the Jansport bonfire sessions. De La Salle University is just the beginning, a spark for brighter bonfires.
