Our last James Bond on-screen was Daniel Craig and for the newest generation, he is probably the only face that comes to mind when anyone mentions James Bond. However, after starring in four Bond films, Daniel Craig has announced that he will no longer be making any more of them. So, the big question is: who should be the next James Bond? Here are some of the actors that we think could be a good fit for 007:
Ed Westwick
Okay, okay. Admittedly, this is partly just to make our Chuck Bass-loving hearts happy; but it would also be great to see him in a role like Bond’s.
Ben Barnes
After playing Prince Caspian in the Chronicles of Narnia and Dorian Gray, Ben Barnes has been making rounds on TV for his roles on ‘Westworld’ and ‘The Punisher’. While a bit on the skinny side lately, we can totally imagine what he would look like if he bulked up a little for the role.
Henry Cavill
If you’ve read the James Bond books, you have to agree that the description of Bond looks exactly like Henry Cavill. Sadly, Henry is building a name of himself as the Man of Steel – with a slew of upcoming movies under his belt – so the likelihood of him falling into the suit of 007 is very low.
Gillian Anderson
Don’t take the poster above seriously. It’s just a bit of fan art that was Gillian Anderson shared on her Twitter account last year. Would it be a good idea to have a female Bond, though?
Jamie Dornan
Shave off that beard and you’ve got a James Bond that kind of looks like Henry Cavill, but without the Superman commitment.
Jude Law
We’ve seen Jude Law play a womaniser in ‘Alfie’ and we’ve seen him take on an action-packed role in ‘The Spy’, so we know he can do both. Plus, he looks really good and since we’ve had a Bond who doesn’t have dark hair before: why not?
Idris Elba
Idris Elba is a top contender for the role of James Bond because, well, he fits the role perfectly. While James Bond may not be a man of color in the books, we know that Idris can pull it off flawlessly. Everyone on the Internet seems to love the idea of him as Bond, in general.
Michael Fassbender
Another amazing actor that would do great as James Bond would be Michael Fassbender. He wows us every single time as Magneto; we’re sure he’ll wow us as 007, too.
Tom Hiddleston
Regardless of what other people might say about the Tom Hiddleston and Taylor Swift drama, Tom is still my top choice for James Bond. For me, he has the perfect James Bond style, especially in his commercial for Jaguar F-Type Coupe. Love. Him.
