It seems that Ivana Alawi knows how to treat herself to the finer things in life and not wait for anyone else to hand it to her.
The actress and social media personality revealed to friends and followers on a YouTube vlog posted on January 6 that she had bought the most amazing birthday gift for herself: an 8-carat diamond ring!
The ring is made by LUNA by Drake Dustin and features a giant diamond rock while the ring itself is adorned with tinier ones.
“Bakit ako mag-aantay sa lalaki? E ‘di bilhan ko na lang sarili ko, ‘di ba? (Why would I need to wait for a man? I’ll just buy one myself, right?)” she then said, adding that she got it to signify self-love.
“It’s just a symbol to love myself. Parang gift ko talaga siya para sa sarili ko (It’s like a gift for myself.),” she added.
She shared that she loves buying rings and considers them “investments.” She also stressed that she isn’t engaged at all.
“Hindi ako engaged (I am not engaged), I am just loved,” she said. “This is my gift to myself and I’m so proud kasi (because) it’s a reminder to work hard for your dreams, kasi dati pangarap ko lang talaga ‘to eh (this just used to be my dream). Tapos ‘di ba, naging sa akin na siya (And now, this ring is mine), and it’s just a dream come true.”
“I will treasure this tapos ‘yung mga anak ko, sila mga makakamana nito (and then my kids will inherit it),” she added.
