It: Chapter Two’s Trailer Is Out But Be Warned — You Don’t Want To Watch This Alone

For those unfamiliar with the source material, don’t be surprised that Derry is not at all like we saw it at the close of It. It: Chapter 2 is set in 2016, 26 years from the last time we saw the precocious group of children being haunted by Pennywise. However, the movie will be spliced between the past and present, showing events through flashbacks and real-time.

This means that an entirely new cast is ready to take on the roles of The Losers’ Club, namely James McAvoy (Bill Denbrough), Jessica Chastain (Beverly Marsh), Bill Hader (Richie Tozier), Jay Ryan (Ben Henscom), Isaiah Mustafa (Mike Hanlon), James Ransone (Eddie Kaspbrak), and Andy Bean (Stanley Uris). At the same time Jaeden Martell, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Wyatt Oleff will be back to reprise their respective roles as well.

The sequel features the same creative team as It, with Andy Muschietti leading as director and Gary Dauberman having written the script. The screenplay is directly adapted from Stephen King’s It. It: Chapter Two premieres on September 6.

(There’s Going to be a Series Set in the Stephen King Universe!)
