International travel magazine, Travel + Leisure, just named The Peninsula Manila one of the world’s 100 best hotels in its September issue that highlights the magazine’s “World’s Best Awards 2021.”

The Peninsula Manila, a five-star luxury hotel located in Makati City that has been serving guests since 1976, placed 25th on the list of Top 100 Hotels in the World and is also the only hotel from the Philippines to make the cut. The list features many different kinds of accommodations found across the globe, including resorts, lodges, glamping spots, and more.
The hotel reportedly garnered an average score of 98.40% based on a survey that Travel + Leisure conducted on its readers where they took note of their travel experiences and honest opinions on the places they’ve stayed at, the airlines they’ve traveled with, and relaxing activities they’ve tried, to name a few.
The hotel also placed 5th in the list of Top 15 Asia City Hotels.
These high distinctions come as The Peninsula Manila is celebrating its 45th anniversary and the hotel expressed its utmost gratitude to its patrons on an Instagram post.
“45 years of commitment to service, heritage, and excellence, The Peninsula Manila has been built on the strength of values and delighting guests. Today and always, The Peninsula Manila remains to delight you and make every guest feel like family with warmth, hospitality, and impeccable service,” it wrote. “Thank you for celebrating countless milestones with us, here’s to countless more!”
