Instagram Reels

Instagram is adding another service that will users to be creative. Earlier this week, the platform announced it will be launching Reels, “a new way to create and discover short, entertaining videos on Instagram.”

Through a post on the website, Instagram further describes Reels as a way for users to “create fun videos to share with your friends or anyone on Instagram.”

They can record and edit 15-second multi-clip videos with audio, effects, and new creative tools. Users can share their reels with their followers on their feed and even get the chance to reach a wider community through a “new space in Explore.”

Watch how you can use it below:

Some of the creative tools include audio (where you can search for a song or upload one, which will be attributed to you and be shareable if your profile is public), AR effects (made by Instagram and creators), timer and countdown (to record your videos hands-free), align (to line up objects from the previous clip to seamlessly transition to the next),  and speed (to speed up or slow down videos).
