If you’re looking for an affordable place to stay in Pattaya, check-out Ibis Hotel Pattaya located right at the heart of central Pattaya.

Pattaya is a coastal city known for its beaches so I figured, I wouldn’t really need a fancy/expensive accommodation for this trip, since I’ll be spending most of my time outdoors island hopping. All I really needed was a decent and safe place for my things. Location is also very important to me so I can easily go out to buy stuff or an area with a nearby train station so I can easily travel. As for this recent trip to Pattaya, I decided not to spend too much on hotel costs so I can use it for shopping and tours. Good thing they have Ibis Hotel here and it was easy to book from the Accor Hotels app.

Unlike other value/budget hotels, the Ibis brand has bigger rooms, making it feel less claustrophobic. With bigger space, I also get more space to move around or sit on the floor while I pack my stuff. I tend to shop a lot during trips, so I really appreciate having that extra space. =) Like with all Accor Hotel properties, the Ibis Hotel brand also offers highly comfortable beds. I found the pillows too soft though, I wish they had a pillow menu like in other properties (or maybe they do, I just failed to ask). The stuff you’ll see in the room are basic amenities like cable tv, tea/coffee making facility, safety deposit box and hairdryer. Their free wifi was also fast and reliable. They may not be fancy, but these things are the things which I find really important with every hotel stay. My room here at Ibis Hotel Pattaya also had its own veranda with this view…

Breakfast buffet is served daily on the ground floor at Taste Restaurant. They offer continental, Indian and Thai dishes so if you’re not used to, or familiar yet with Thai food, I assure you’ll find equally satisfying tummy fillers to keep you full. Their Thai dishes here are also tasty, so please, please don’t pass on it. Don’t forget to sprinkle with a bit more chilli flakes for added kick.

I also saw that they had a bar lounge located at the ground floor right beside the pool area. Too bad I wasn’t able to hang-out for some drinks since our schedule was tight.

Aside from being satisfied with my room, service and food, I really loved its location. It’s just along the main road so all the shops I wanted to visit were of walking distance. Pharmacy, grocery, mall, bargain markets, nightlife, restaurants – everything was just a few steps away. It’s also only around 400 meters away from the famous Pattaya beach making it such an ideal hotel.
