The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has allowed the resumption of the pilot study on motorcycle taxis.
During the Laging Handa press briefing on Friday, October 23, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said that this is good news because we can use motorcycle taxis like Angkas or Joyride again.

However, Roque said that the general public would have to wait for the official guidelines to be issued by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
According to the Palace, this resumption is to help raise the capacity of the mass transport system. It also aims to help the economy that was badly hit because of the coronavirus pandemic.
