Months since the premiere of the award-nominated Hustlers, a film about a group of New York City strippers conning their customers, are there talks right now to turn it into a Broadway musical?

Hustlers lead actress, Jennifer Lopez, definitely seems to like the idea.
“That’s something that would be amazing,” Lopez told reporters from Extra. “It really lends itself to a Broadway show, and to a live-performance show.”
When asked if she was willing to star in it, she explained that she didn’t want to commit to anything. “I don’t know that I would do it. I would produce it, for sure. I don’t know. Maybe. You never know with me,” she added.
Hustlers has reportedly grossed USD 150 million (approximately PHP 7.6 billion) worldwide and has received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics. It is also the highest opening of Lopez’s career and she has already been nominated in awards shows for her role as Ramona.

She has never starred in a Broadway show, however, which can explain her hesitation about taking the opportunity if it ever comes. But as she said, we’ll just have to wait and see. We’re not going to lie, we’re pretty curious about how the possible production would look like. It seems like a really cool idea!
