With the pandemic still continuing, many families have ended up relying on donations from the private sector in order to get by.
A lot of these families have lost their livelihoods and some of them even have PWD family members who have special needs, as well.
Luckily, a group of medical interns from St. Luke’s have been kind enough to come together and raise funds for PWDs in Old Balara, Quezon City. These funds will provide for over 100 families with PWD members to help out with their troubles and all during this pandemic.
“As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, our partner community in Barangay Old Balara is facing challenges physically, mentally and financially. Through this Facebook page, we aim to reach, help, inspire and educate the residents of Barangay Old Balara (and the general public) through infographics, health talks, and more. We will also use this platform to call for donations for our partner community,” they write in their description.
