This is your chance to bring your favorite Disney characters to life, as Hong Kong Disneyland will soon open auditions for character performers and vocalists in the Philippines! On Wednesday, November 22, the Philippine Auditions for Overseas Placement posted the announcement on Facebook.
“If you’ve got the talent and the passion to be part of the enchanting world of Hong Kong Disneyland, this is your moment to shine!” they captioned.
Character performers, also called Face/Show Characters, are set to perform in shows, parades, and character greetings with guests. Then, vocalists will perform various musical styles in both indoor and outdoor locations.
The audition for Face/Show Characters will start on December 3 at 9 a.m. at Steps Dance Studio in Poblacion, Makati, while the auditions for Vocalists will be on December 4 at the same time and venue.
According to the audition guidelines, those who will audition for Face/Show Characters and Vocalists must be 21 years old and willing to relocate to Hong Kong.
Face/Show Characters applicants are expected to prepare a short movement combination and may be asked to read a script/material to be provided during the audition. On the other hand, Vocalists applicants must prepare to sing at least two songs, one of which should be upbeat, and bring their sheet music. The casting director may request shortlisted Vocalists applicants to learn a song for additional evaluation. Applicants for both categories should also bring three copies of their current headshot and resume.
Recruitment agency Archangel Global Solutions emphasized that pre-registration is preferred and will be prioritized. Walk-in applicants will only be considered after all pre-registered candidates have auditioned. You can view the full audition guidelines here.
