Homies Pinoy Fried Chicken, envisioned and formally established by homies (thus the name of their restaurant!) Jerico Littaua and Hagen Topacio, is definitely stepping up the game in the battle of the best chicken recipe in town. Both being hardcore foodies and first time entrepreneurs, they knew they had to jump off the cliff, pursue their long-time dream and give this a shot.

Village, Quezon City, the city’s center of gastronomy, this food destination is a pinoy restaurant that serves affordable, freshly fried chicken that is crispy, tender and juicy through the careful modulation of the frying temperature and cooking time for maximum tenderness, flavor and color.

While they only started out with delivery, their chicken recipe soon won the hearts of many and successfully extended into getting a place of its own and establishing a dine-in location. Soon, it turned into the fun restaurant that it is right now.

Homies Pinoy Fried Chicken offers a range of traditional yet delectable Filipino food at a very affordable price. Another good thing about their menu is their UNLI RICE – a legit Filipino trademark!

Unlike the usual fried chicken places wherein the heavenly taste lies in the ever savory breading, the chicken’s extra crispy golden texture at Homies Pinoy Fried Chicken is so soft and honestly scrumptious, the flavors easily played around in my mouth and hit my tastebuds in all the right spots. The chicken meat is flavorful and you can tell by its taste that it is freshly cooked every single time, as well.

A special catsup is served with the chicken to complement the glorious chicken meat. The catsup they use is not just the ordinary condiment bought at the supermarket, either. It is specially prepared by one of its owners, who happens to be the master chef, too.

This might sound weird, but I do not eat fresh or fried lumpia that much. Surprisingly, I do now, though! Homies’ fantastic Tia Delia’s Lumpia is one of my personal favorites. I tell you, this is something different amongst the other fried lumpia recipes. The taste and texture of the different stuffed vegetables and spices prepped until they are golden brown and the subtle sweetness that I chewed was the perfect flavor ever. This is definitely a delightful meal-in-one favorite.
