With all that’s going on, it’s easy to feel disheartened. More and more news of displaced workers, people having to walk hours just to get home, and conflicting views on what should be done are filling up everyone’s television screens and timelines. It’s jarring, to say the least, and it’s difficult to feel optimistic with everything that’s going on.
However, Popburri, a popsicle shop in East Kamias, Quezon City, made the best out of the quarantine and decided to lend a helping hand to those who had no homes to quarantine themselves in. In a generous move, they converted their currently closed store into an impromptu homeless shelter where people can stay to sleep, eat, and bathe.
Seeing this truly made my heart warm. Some people are really going above and beyond for those around them. Kudos, Popburri! I hope others are inspired by your generosity!
