If you told me back when I was still studying that in the future, classes would be held online, I wouldn’t believe you. How would it happen? Will students really learn? Thankfully, we now live in a time when we have so many tools at our disposal to make online classes succeed. Still, a lot of students and parents struggle to adjust to studying in the new normal.
In this article, we list down the essentials students and parents can get to make online learning more fun and effective:
A conducive workspace
It all starts with a good workspace. You will need a quiet area where you can focus on your classes and assignments. Having your own desk is ideal but for those who don’t have one, you can set up a temporary workspace anywhere around the home. A table with enough space for all your essentials is great. Snacks
I hated it when I wasn’t allowed to eat in class but I get it. The sound of chewing can be distracting to others. Now that students are attending classes from home, they now have the freedom to munch on their favorite snacks while learning math or science. We recommend Super Crunch, which comes in corn chips, nachos, and Chipcharon made from green peas. The corn chips come in Cheesiest, Tasty Sweet Corn, Cheddar Cheese, and Barbecue, while the nachos come in Cheese and Barbecue. The Chipcharon in Lechon Kawali is our favorite because it tastes like the dish with just a hint of a vinegar flavor.

A laptop
The right device is just as important since how it performs can affect how students learn. A laptop is a great option because it’s light enough to be carried anywhere and there are plenty of options depending on your budget. The price range varies so you’ll definitely find something that fits your needs and your budget.
Laptop stand
Pair your laptop with a stand! A pair of earphones/earbuds

Visuals, check. Make sure your audio is great, too. Get a pair earphones or earbuds so you can focus on what your teacher or professor is saying. We recommend going with a wireless pair so you can move around freely. Once you invest in wireless earphones or earbuds, you won’t want to go back to wired ones. A smart TV
Make online learning more immersive with a smart TV. Sure, you can watch your classes online but a smart TV offers a bigger screen so you get to see more. Hisense is an affordable brand that can be used for online learning… and watching Netflix after! It serves a dual purpose, so it’s easy to convince your parents to invest in one.
A charging station
If you’re going to keep your gadgets nearby, make sure to have a nifty charger, too. We love how there are many brands that now offer charging pads so you can simply put your smartphone over it to juice it up. Mission offers the standard charging cables but we’re eyeing the Lab.C charging pads. If you’re a germophobe, you’ll love the LEXON Oblio Wireless Charging Station, which comes with a UV sanitizer!
