Helicopter Carrying PNP Chief Crashes in Laguna

This morning, a helicopter carrying Philippine National Police Chief Gen. Archie Gamboa crashed in Laguna.

He, along with seven others, was on his way to Camp Vicente Lim in Calamba after inspecting impounded vehicles in San Pedro. According to reports, the helicopter crashed within minutes after takeoff at 8AM.

Thankfully, all the passengers only received minor injuries and are now being treated in a nearby hospital. Gamboa was then transferred to St. Luke’s Medical Center in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.

Gamboa was with PNP Spokesperson B/Gen. Bernard Banac, PNP comptrollership chief M/Gen. Jovic Ramos, PNP intelligence director M/Gen. Mariel Magaway, Gamboa’s aide, two pilots, and one helicopter technician.
