Filipino-owned Harvey’s Studio is the newest online cookie store you’ve got to try the next time you need to satisfy your sweet tooth.
A business built during the pandemic, Harvey’s Studio was born from a mother and son’s love for baking together as a form of bonding.
“The idea for Harvey’s, came to me when I noticed an increase of demand from my son to bake cookies, mini cakes, or brownies. I drew inspiration to turn it into a business when my son, Harvey/Javi, was really addicted to [having] cookies every chance he gets,” said Czarina, the founder of Harvey’s Studio.
“Considering the fact that [there’s a limit to what you can do] during the pandemic, the only way we could bond or do activities was through baking and I must say that he’s really fascinated with assisting me from measuring the ingredients to baking the cookies to packing and writing notes on the orders,” she shared.
“I started this because I wanted my son to receive the support he needs when he wants to pursue what he loves doing and develops from it.”
Having just relaunched online this month, Harvey’s Studio currently features only two flavors: “Holy Chip!”, a classic Chocolate Chip cookie (PHP 540 for a box of 6), and “Big Buttercup Cookie,” a dark chocolate peanut butter treat (PHP 480 for a box of 6), both of which are freshly baked by batch order.
Despite the simplicity of the variants, both pack quite a punch with their premium ingredients and sweet and gooey taste. The Holy Chip! is made with brown butter cookie dough and a generous handful of dark chocolate chips and has been a crowd favorite ever since. But definitely not to be missed is the Big Buttercup Cookie, made with dark cocoa and peanut butter chips and topped with a big dollop of peanut butter spread. Once you’ve sunk your teeth into this indulgent cookie, your taste buds will keep wanting more and more!
