The folk rock song was written by Canadian singer Leonard Cohen in 1884. The song has since been sung and covered many times since then. But despite the thousands of covers done for this moving gospel song, by great artists and unknown singers online, there still are few that stand out. Such as this.

Recorded at a school Christmas show in Northern Ireland, a 10-year-old girl named Kaylee Rodgers, who has autism and ADHD, sang a beautiful version of Leonard Cohen’s popular song.  The video quickly went viral, and now has over 3 million views.

As reported by UTV, Colin Millar, the principal, said: “For a child who came in P4 and wouldn’t really talk, wouldn’t really read out in class, to stand and perform in front of an audience is amazing. It takes a lot of effort on Kaylee’s part.”

Leonard Cohen would be so proud.
