JCI is a global leadership organization present in over 80 countries with over 8,000 members in 260 chapters across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Having been active in the country for more almost 70 years, JCI Philippines is proud to cite several notable business and government leaders – from owners & CEOs of top corporations to incumbent public service officials. True to its mission of providing development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change, the organization makes sure its members have access to as much training and team building chances as they can.
This coming June 8-10, 2018, JCI Philippines will be having their 2018 Mid Year Summit hosted by local chapter JCI Marikina Sapatos. This year’s summit will be held at 9 Waves Ciudad Christia Resort, San Mateo Rizal.
The Mid Year Summit was initially designed to revive the JCI spirit within LO Chapter Presidents as they reach the half-year mark of their 1 year to lead. This year, in an effort to encourage and motivate more of its membership, the event will run 3 training camps simultaneously which is now open to all of its young active members, spread out through 3 days of fun and learning.
The President’s Academy will be held for the current LO Chapter presidents. The Mid Year Pres Acad will serve as a refresher course of the training they went through during the National Convention before swearing in as presidents of their respective Local Organizations.
Trainer’s Academy will cater to members who aim to be activated as official JCI Trainers, or for currently active trainers who want to learn new tips and tricks to better their craft.
Last but not the least, the Future Leader’s Academy will do its run in the summit for all aspiring or incoming presidents. The FLA is an excellent head start for members who are interested in becoming part of their chapters board of directors or for those who simply want to hone their leadership skills for future project chairmanships.
No JCI event will be complete without a fellowship night, of course, and the Mid Year Summit will be no different. On June 8, attendees will be welcomed with a night of music and drinks, with beats brought to you by DJ Migz Alvis. People who wish to enjoy the resorts amenities are also free to go swimming in between their respective seminar schedules. The 2018 Midyear summit is a great time to meet, mingle and bond with fellow members as they fly in from different parts of the country for this national event.
With 6 months of the year that had passed, there is so much left to be done. With more awards left to give and achieve, more lives to inspire, and more communities left to serve, it’s time to reignite the flame and make sure JCI sparks still fly in the remaining months left for this 2018 JCI batch.
