We’re all familiar with Gudetama, the lazy egg yolk who just wants to stay in bed and do nothing.
It looks like they’ll be busy because they will soon have a Netflix series called Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure. You can catch the trailer below:
Here’s how the show is described: “A lethargic, empathetic road movie about finding one’s parents — for everyone who just wants to laze about!”
Netflix adds, “Having resigned itself to the fact that it will just end up on someone’s plate, Gudetama just wants to be lazy all the time. But, swept up by the go-getting, overbearing chick Shakipiyo, it leaves the refrigerator and heads out into the world. Together, these polar opposites go on an adventure to find their mother!”
Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure is a mix of CGI and live acting, with Akiyoshi Nakao, Serena Motola, and Sarutoki Minagawa joining the cast.
It will stream on Netflix beginning December 13, 2022.
