PBA: Greg Slaughter to Miss Out Tonight’s Game

Looks like the Ginebra San Miguel will have a big shoe to fill without it’s big man on the floor.

According to reports, Ginebra’s center Greg Slaughter would miss out tonight’s game against the NLEX Road Warriors due to measles.

San Miguel, under the coaching of multi-awarded coach Tim Cone, had a rough season in the recently ended Philippine Cup, where they were ousted from the quarterfinals in a controversial win by Globalport.

Despite the rocky Philippine cup season, Greg Slaughter had the best game of his career says reports; he averaged 22.7 points, 14.5 rebounds, 53% shooting from the field.

Reports also say Slaughter might be out for the first two games. The team will be relying on Slaughter’s “twin” Japeth Aguilar and import Othyus Jeffers to fill in for Slaughter.

The Road Warriors, on the other hand, will have import Al Thornton on their team tonight, which would be a tough opponent for the Gin Kings.

Tip-off of the Warriors vs Kings is 7:00 tonight, after Globalport vs Mahindra.

Do you think Ginebra will be fine without Greg Slaughter?
