Cakes by Yda – Baguio City’s Hidden Treasure
So, I got myself lost again. Went out to explore Baguio City’s hidden treasures and I found this backyard cafe on my latest adventure, Cakes by Yda. It’s located at 242 CICM-Loop New Site Bakakeng. It’s really hard to find this one, I tell you. We got lost a bunch of times before we got on the right track. But finding this wonderful cafe is worth every drop of sweat.
Once you see this sign in Bakakeng, congratulations! You have just found your life’s purpose, you have just found Cakes by Yda.
Walk right straight down the pathway  where the sign is pointing at.
Voila! You have arrived at your destination. Cakes by Yda cafe is located at the Salva’s family basement. It was first designed to be a bar before they started selling tasty treats and meals.
There are also tables set on the family’s veranda and a billiard pool to entertain customers.
This is the view from upstairs. If you crave some fresh air and the natural air-con that Baguio City offers, I suggest staying here while you eat.
They have nice retro furniture to make old people feel young, and for young hipsters to have something to post on Instagram. Just kidding! The design reminds me of my grandma’s comfort milk and her freshly baked cookies on weekends after mass.
