Goodbye, ‘Daredevil’: The Marvel Purge Continues on Netflix

First it was the cancellation of ‘Iron Fist’, then it was the cancellation of ‘Luke Cage’. And while I prayed long and hard for them not to take my two favorite Marvel shows away – ‘Jessica Jones’ and ‘Daredevil’ – it looks like there’s no hope for this die-hard fangirl.

Just a month and a week after the ‘Luke Cage’ cancellation announcement, our hearts are being broken yet again as it has been announced that our beloved Daredevil will be leaving the streaming app after three beautiful seasons. In fact, I don’t know anyone who had anything bad to say about the show.

However, while ‘Iron Fist’ and ‘Luke Cage’ seem to be gone for good judging by the messages posted by their stars on showrunners after their cancellations were announced, it seems that there is hope for ‘Daredevil’ to be moved to Disney’s upcoming streaming service, Disney+, where they have already announced two Marvel series: one for Loki and one for Scarlet Witch.

So here we are, waiting for the fate of ‘Jessica Jones’ and ‘The Punisher’, the two last Marvel series left on Netflix at the moment. So far, no announcements of new seasons have been made for either show, though, so things are looking pretty bleak if you ask me.

I just hope the current seasons remain on Netflix forever.
