Congratulations to our team as they won the recent regional foodfest competition held in Singapore.
According to Lifestyle.Inquirer.net, the regional competition called Food and Hotel Asia (FHA) 2016 held in Singapore last week, picked our very own Philippine Culinary Team as the “Best Culinary Team” among others. There were 20 teams that participated but our homegrown talents bested the rest!
As quoted in the article, the team bagged the following awards:
- 4 Golds courtesy of Kenneth Cacho for Neptune’s Catch (seafood), Sonny Mariano for Tapas (appetizers), Jireh Rodriguez for the wedding cake category and Josh Boutwood for the main dish.
- an assortment of silvers and bronzes, as well.
Although, there was no cash prize given to them, at least they now have “bragging rights” according to the Team manager James Antolin.
It was also mentioned in the article that the last time the Philippines won the top prize was in 2007.
