It looks like the chances of Gilas Pilipinas to claim their 13th straight gold medal in the Southeast Asian Games’ basketball championship are very good, if the results of the 3×3 men’s basketball competition are anything to go by.

Not only did the Gilas Pilipinas men’s team complete the 3×3 basketball competition with a comfortable win, but they also completed a total sweep of the event. Moala Tautuaa, Jason Perkins, Chris Newsome, and CJ Perez didn’t hold back at all, winning all 8 of their matches.

They finished the match for gold against Indonesia with a wide gap, getting a 21-9 win this Monday at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan City. Perez was responsible for 10 of those points, giving the Philippines a strong start.
