When in Manila and addicted to sushi and sashimi (like me!), I highly recommend you try out this new much raved about sushi restaurant along Makati Ave cor Kalayaan St in Makati called Genji M!

A few weeks ago,  a fellow sushi loving friend of mine showed me this photo……

I couldn’t believe that for as low as P399, you can enjoy all the sushi rolls you want!

 

….. without any hesitations, I’ve decided to visit the coming weekend and invited some friends!

 

Genji M is a 6-month old Japanese/Korean restaurant which primarily offers unlimited sushi all day to cater to all sushi addicts in the metro!

 

The overall ambiance at Genji M felt like we were in a casual dining Japanese restaurant. Not intimidating at all! An ideal place to hold celebrations of all sorts! Aside from Koreans and Japanese nationals, I was surprised to see a lot of Filipino diners when we visited.

 

For our sushi feast, we went for the Unli Premium Sashimi package (P1,499) which included everything in their sushi and sashimi menu! We asked the staff to prepare their best sellers.

Before visiting, I did read some reviews from guests who complained about the bad service they experienced. Despite that, I still took my chances since I wanted to experience it first hand. Fortunately, when we visited, the management was already in the process of making lots of improvements specially in terms of customer service so we didn’t experience any slow or bad service from the staff. I understand that it’s only a newly opened restaurant, so I know that training the staff and managing the daily operations smoothly would take time. I made an effort to talk with their managers Big JM and JiYong and I was pleased to know that they are fully aware on what needs to be improved and are doing their best to provide better service!

Will I still recommend Genji M? YES OF COURSE as the food is really good! I actually can’t wait for my next visit! Hope to see you there!
