Last week, ex-Pinoy Big Brother housemate Fumiya Sankai shared with fans and followers that he needed to undergo a lung operation after doctors found a hole in his right lung.

In a video he posted this weekend on his YouTube channel, Fumiya gave an update on his condition after the operation.
“I want to say thank you so much for everyone. My surgery is successful,” he said.
He also shared that the doctors finally removed the tube on his body which had been giving him pain for almost a week since he got admitted to the hospital.
“I stay with tube for almost one week. Finally, tapos na (it’s done). Finally, we broke up. And then when [they] remove[d] the tube, sobrang (much) better. I feel better.” He also joked that his “love team” with the tube was finally over. “Tubemiya. Thank you so much, we broke up na (already). Thank you po! Salamat!”
He then explained that he will spend his recovery period in Japan since he can’t ride an airplane yet, though he doesn’t know until when he’ll stay in his hometown. He also said that he’ll view this as an opportunity to rest after all the work he’s done the past few months.
“Now I will focus on my body like a fast recovery, di ba (right)? And then if it’s okay na (already) 100%, I will go back to the Philippines and then trabaho (work) again. Thank you so much for supporting me,” he said.

He added that he will continue to vlog on his channel while he stays in Japan.
He also expressed gratitude to everyone who prayed for him.
“Thank you so much. Maraming maraming salamat po. I heard that Twitter was trending and many people watching FumiShunBase. I don’t want to forget about this feeling. I [will] continue what I want to do,” he gushed.
