Bookworms, we have great news for you: Fully Booked is preparing to open four more stores in SM malls in Pampanga, Cebu, Bataan, and Sta. Rosa in May and June. The expansion follows the opening of two new stores in SM City Iloilo and SM City Marilao last April.
With this slate of new stores, Fully Booked will be present in ten cities outside Metro Manila, swiftly accelerating from just four provincial areas in 2022. These are in Baguio, Cebu, Cagayan De Oro, and Davao.
Fully Booked has long been keen to reach readers across the Philippines, accomplished primarily through its online store, which ships nationwide. Its digital presence is also strengthened with official mall stores on e-commerce platforms Shopee and Lazada. But founder and Managing Director Jaime Daez says that the bookstore is still enthusiastic about sharing the unique delight of physically browsing books and discovering reads among the stacks.
“Despite living in a digital world, Filipino bookworms continue to be eager to experience looking through physical shelves and being surrounded by thousands of potential great reads. A physical space also allows us to connect with our customers on a personal and relational level, in a way that cannot be replicated online,” says Daez.
The bookstore chain will be opening its 110-square meter store in SM City Pampanga this May 12, 2023. The SM City Bataan branch is set to open on May 19, 2023, while the SM Seaside Cebu branch will open its doors on May 26, 2023. Laguna bookworms can look forward to the SM Sta. Rosa branch opening towards the end of June 2023.
